                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, 

                   KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO REZONE A
                   TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 5485 HIXSON PIKE, FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
        
                A tract of land located at 5485 Hixson Pike, being
                off the northwest line of Hixson Pike northeast of
                Old Hixson Pike.  Part of an unplatted tract, being
                part of the property described in deed book 2322,
                page 930, ROHC.  To find the true point of
                beginning of said part of tract, start on the
                northwest line of Hixson Pike some 624.1 feet
                northeast of the intersection of the northwest line
                of Hixson Pike with the northeast line of Old
                Hixson Pike, thence northwest 45.9 feet, thence
                northeast 12.36 feet, thence northeast some 175
                feet to the true point of beginning, thence
                southwest some 170 feet, thence northeast 25 feet,
                thence northeast some 170 feet, thence southwest 25
                feet to the true point of beginning.  Tax Map No.
                100K-A-6 (part).
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone To M-2 Light Industrial Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
